Felt Mug Hug

Its hot chocolate weather thats for sure.... so check out this cute little DIY for making the cutest felt mug holders. They take no time at all and the kids think they are fab, my target audience.......

I bought these inexpensive glasses at a $2 shop.... they are mini latte glasses and the perfect size for a kids size hot chocolate. The felt is also inexpensive and available at Lincraft and Spotlight. This is also the perfect project for using up your felt scraps.

First thing I did was make a paper template to fit around the glasses. I chose this petal pattern as is echoes the curves on the glasses. Make sure that your two ends overlap around the glass otherwise you won't have anything to stitch together!

Cut around your template and pick a lovely shade of contrasting cotton to stitch your overlapping ends together.

Stitch your ends together and Voilà..... now all you need to do is make your favourite hot drink and warm your fingers....

I hope you have enjoyed this super simple DIY. Why not get a little crafty this weekend and make something awesome. If you do, make sure you take a pic and post it to Instagram. Don't forget to #taylorandclothdiy and give me a shout out @katetaylorandcloth

Happy Making!
